Air Europa Boston Flights

Last summer, Air Europa, inaugurated seasonal flights from Madrid to Boston operating on an A330-200 three times a week from June 14, 2017, to September 8, 2017. This allowed Boston to have both Air Europa and Iberia operate the route. Unfortunately, Air Europa has been removed from the list of airlines on Massport's Logan Website, indicating that Air Europa decided to not return to Boston this summer after having very low load factors on it's flights to and from Boston last summer. Although it is unfortunate, I am not surprised, I do not think that the Boston to Madrid market is large enough to warrant two airlines to fly the route. For Iberia, this is a large victory as they will gain a complete monopoly on the market again.
