Allegiant Air Announces Boston Service

Allegiant Air has announced its plans to start service to Boston with four new destinations for Boston. Allegiant is a low-cost carrier, that mostly offered service from fairly small cities to leisure destinations, however, as of recently, the airline has been expanding into larger and larger airports. The airline plans to start seasonal service to Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 7, 2020; Knoxville, Tennessee on May 8, 2020; Asheville, North Carolina on May 8, 2020; and Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Florida on May 14, 2020. These are all new destinations for Boston, that are not served by another airline currently. I did not expect to see Allegiant launch service to Boston, however, I wish them good luck in the highly competitive environment of Boston.
